ABOUT US
Omni Property Services is a 100% Aboriginal-owned business, proudly built and run by a Darwin born and bred Indigenous Australian woman.
What started as a one-woman operation has grown into a trusted partner for real estate agents, property owners and local businesses across Darwin, Palmerston and the Rural area. We specialise in professional property media, admin support for listings, and digital design – all with a strong focus on reliability, quality and community.
With CASA certification for commercial drone operations and a Certificate IV in Design, every project is handled with the same level of care and professionalism you’d expect from a larger agency, but with the flexibility and personal service of a local operator.
For real estate, we provide:
-
High-quality property photography and drone imagery
-
Floor and site plans
-
Virtual staging and virtual editing
-
Clear, agent-ready marketing copy
-
Admin support for listings, from vendor info collection to media booking and coordination
Our standard turnaround is 24–48 hours from shoot to delivery, because we know how important speed to market is in the Darwin property market.
Beyond real estate, we also create digital designs, websites, flyers, brochures, signage and other marketing materials to help local businesses and organisations present professionally online and offline.
Omni Property Services is built on trust, transparency and community impact. When you work with us, you’re not just getting a service – you’re supporting a local Aboriginal-owned business that genuinely cares about the success of your listings, your brand and our wider community.
My Story
My name is Melissa Maillis (née Thompson), and I am a born and bred Aboriginal Australian raised in Darwin, NT.
My Aboriginal lineage originates from Lawn Hill in Queensland through my great-great-grandmother, Opal Maginmarm of the Waanyi Tribe, who married Sam Ah Bow, a Chinese gold rush migrant. Their son, John Leon, later married my great-grandmother, Netty Holt, connecting our family deeply with both Lawn Hill and Alexandria Station.
While I do not speak the Waanji language, I have had the privilege of witnessing traditional ceremonies over the years, which has strengthened my respect and appreciation for my cultural roots. Indigenous art and the stories it tells greatly inspire me and influence my values and creativity.
After living in Bundaberg, QLD, and Adelaide, SA, I now call Darwin home, where I live with my husband and three boys. I balance family life with running a media business from home, supported by a Certificate IV in Design. I am passionate about kindness, storytelling, and using my creative skills to help others in my community.
My vision is to live each day with gratitude and spread creativity and compassion to those around me.
